The Samsung HW-D450 is a soundbar system designed to create 2.1 channel virtual surround sound audio. The subwoofer itself has two speakers, but there’s an included 2.4GHz wireless subwoofer. Once connected, it can handle up to 280 watts of power, and use it to create high quality audio that isn’t actually surround sound, but is capable of simulating surround sound. Note that the system relies on powerful audio technologies like Dolby Digital and DTS Surround to provide even better audio. Plus the system is wall mountable and specifically designed to match the size and design of a 40” Samsung high definition television set. Features 2.1-Channel Sound System Slim Design Black Color Dolby Digital Audio DTS Surround Audio Wireless Subwoofer Wall Mountable 280 Watts Matches 40” Samsung HDTVs ... PROS: (1) very easy to hook up, just a few cables that plug into the obvious ports and youre done (2) can hear what people are saying clearly, dont need to turn up the volume (3) looks great mounted on the wall, enhances the decor (4) wireless subwoofer can be put anywhere in the room ... CONS: (1) remote goes dead every once in awhile, then kicks back in a half hour later (2) sometimes switches inputs from Digital 1 to Digital 2 by itself (3)"surroun" effect barely exists, weak stereo separation
