The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is a 2 megapixel USB webcam for both desktop and laptop use. It features a Carl Zeiss lens, Full HD recording, and a unique clip design for versatile mounting options with its universal mounting clip. The QuickCam Pro has been designed with an emphasis on video quality with the following features: 1) A Carl Zeiss lens, 2) RightLight 2 Technology that attempts to automatically adjust to varying light conditions, and 3) a high resolution 2 megapixel sensor for caputuring video up to 1600 x 1200. The MSRP is $100 and it was released in June 2007. Features 2 megapixel sensor versatile mount can be used on both desktop monitors and laptops Carl Zeiss lens "RightLight 2" techology automatically adjust for varying lighting conditions built-in microphone /w "RightSound" technology includes QuickCam software resolution: 1600 x 1200 frame rate: 30 fps color depth: 24 bit autofocus 6 foot ... PROS: (1) Simple installation (2) Supports Hiqh Quality Video in Skype (one of few cameras); 640 x 480 @ 25 fps (3) Carl Zeiss lens (4) 2 megapixel sensor records up to 1600 x 1200 resolutions (5) Versatile mount can be used on desktop monitors and laptops ... CONS: (1) Can be CPU intensive (2) Regardless of specifications, the image quality is not that of 2 megapixel cameras. (3) Actual video throughput (resolution + fps) is the same as any average webcam. (4) Logitech software isnt good (5) QuickCam software not optimized for Macs leaving you without advanced features and effects

THE BAD: Poor design makes it a challenge to secure Webcam to a laptop; not optimized for use with Macs.
