Review : The ViewSonic VG2236wm-LED is one of two environmentally friendly LED-backlit monitors (VG2236wm-LED, VG2436wm-LED) released in late 2010 as part of the VG36-LED series. Both units are EPEAT Golf and Energy Star certified, and they purportedly offer up to 50% savings in energy consumption. Regardless, the smaller 22” VG2236wm-LED offers a full 1080p high-definition resolution with a 20M:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 5ms response time. Also included are speakers and DVI/VGA & audio inputs. The real kicker is the unit’s versatility, in that it can be adjusted in many ways. Included is a 90-degree pivot, height adjustments up to 5.4”, a 360-degree swivel, and of course tilting.
