The Zoom H1 is a versatile digital voice recording solution by Samson. It is designed to be portable and suitable for a wide range of uses. It has two mic in an X/Y configuration for high quality stereo recording. Its storage memory is expendable to 32GB with micro SDHC cards enabling over 50 hours of recording time at 16-bit/44.1 kHz. With the provided accessories the H1 can been mounted to DSLR cameras to use as a high quality voice recorder in place of the cameras build in mic function. It is simple to operate thanks to hardware buttons which means the recorders settings can be accessed quickly without going into complex software menus. A single AA battery will enable the H1 to be used for over 10hrs. Freshly recorded audio content can be listened to direct via the build in 3.5mm headphone jack and can be exported via the mini USB ... PROS: (1) high quality sound recording in compact profile (2) intuitive button and switch design (3) input level adjustment on the fly, can handle extremely loud input (4) fast file transfer to the computer (5) stereo separation is works well in a wide variety of settings ... CONS: (1) light components feel delicate (2) doesnt run on USB power when connected (3) using a mono mic records to a left channel, rather than a mono file
